Now celebrating over 50 years in operation, the Howell Nature Center occupies 270 acres in the heart of Livingston County, just a short drive from the Hidden Lake community.
Whether your youngsters are interested in a day camp or an overnight experience, there’s a camp that fits the bill. Hiking, swimming, group games and crafts, plus Gaga ball, Archery and High Adventure activities like Zip lining, Tower climbing and a High Ropes course are all on offer throughout the summer months.
The staff of the Howell Nature Center are selected to be outstanding role models for the campers. Prior to the start of the camping season, staff attend extensive training in leadership skills. Camp staff are Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified, and there is a health officer on-site 24 hours a day to address any health or safety concerns.
Here’s just one example of the fun on offer at Howell Nature Center:
Coming up July 31 – August 4th – Shark Week
Kids will grab towels and shark repellent before flying down a giant Slip N’ Slide. They will have a chance to drop favorite counselors into a dunk tank, and participate in the Wacky Water Olympics. There won’t be sharks, but there will sure be non-stop watery fun all week long for your kids!
